Spotlight 6: 'Maybe You Were Meant to Fail'

The steady topic here at Virally Different has been failure — we keep saying it, because it keeps showing up.

But this time we think more about it: everything starts with failure.

It’s strange how we never really see it, though.

What we see are the accomplishments — the big moments, the success stories, the people who “made it.”

But what we don’t see are the nights they cried, the times they almost gave up, the quiet failures that built the foundation of their strength.

Someone told us recently here at Virally Different,

“Maybe you were meant to fail like this.” And maybe that’s true.

Because it’s not easy.

This mission — this dream — is heavy sometimes.

Having incredible guests share their hearts, record their stories, and trust us to represent them… only to feel like maybe we haven’t given them the recognition they truly deserve. That hurts.

All we’ve ever wanted is to give them that platform — that space where being different isn’t just accepted, it’s valued.

That’s what Virally Different was meant to be.

Yes.

We’ve done it… yet again.

We’re in the final stages of recreating our storytelling structure — what is this now, our third attempt? Maybe fourth?

But we guess that’s what growth looks like.

We have to constantly remind ourselves that every failure has shaped us into something more honest, more human, more us.

We just hope our guests understand that their stories are the heart of this community.

We’re still here, still listening, still building — and we’re using those same stories to create a foundation where everyone is treated equally, fairly, and with the respect they deserve.

So here it is — later this week, we’ll be releasing what we hope is our final structure for our guest episodes.

And if it’s not perfect, that’s okay.

Because every misstep, every failed attempt, has brought us closer to what Virally Different was always meant to be: A home for every kind of different.
